Welcome to Unova, you are here to discover the mysterious world of pokemon. Here are a few tips to RPing on this site.
You're character has to be human. This character then has pokemon and can RP indirectly with them as well. E.g. "Eric watched as Bulbasaur ran circles around his feet. It seemed Bulby was quite happy for some reason, could it have been that Leavanny he saw earlier. It was quite obvious that Bulbasaur was in love. Eric picked him up and stroked his head. Blah blah blah."
You can have any starter pokemon you want, but it has to be from the region you are from. These are the options:
Kanto
1) Bulbasaur
2) Charmander
3) Squirtle
Johto
1) Chikorita
2) Cyndaquil
3) Totodile
Hoenn
1) Treecko
2) Torchic
3) Mudkip
Sinnoh
1) Turtwig
2) Chimchar
3) Piplup
Unova
1) Snivy
2) Tepig
3) Oshawott
The amount of pokemon you are allowed to carry are dependent on the amount of posts you have:
0-10: 1 pokemon
11-30: 2 pokemon
31-60: 3 pokemon
61-100: 4 pokemon
101-150: 5 pokemon
150 upwards: 6 pokemon
Please write which pokemon you have with you in you're siggy.
For every post you have, you get half a level to add to your pokemon, whichever one you wish. E.g. if you have posted 56 times, you are allowed 3 pokemon, and 28 levels to distribute among them. Your Bulbasaur could be level 12, your lillipup level 10 and your pansear level 6. Please don't switch the levels around. If a level is added to a pokemon, it has to stay there. Make the levels of your pokemon known by writing it in your siggy.
Pokemon evolution is very exciting, but sometimes you might want your cute little pokemon to stay cute and adorable, which is also allowed. Please keep to the universal levels at which pokemon evolve. Information about this can be found here
By competing with and defeating gym leaders, you can become a stronger pokemon trainer and maybe even a gym leader yourself one day. Please feel more than welcome to post in any gym you would like to challenge, but be aware of the level of pokemon they train. The smartest thing to do would be to start at the beginning and train upwards.
During pokemon battles between trainers, it is of utmost importance that you do not godmod. Your pokemon can't evade every single blow or deliver a super-duper-mega-punch that hits the victim out instantly. When a godmodder is found, he will be asked to change his post.
